Advice from the Government
Unfortunately due to the Corona Virus Pandemic and increasing cases of the disease, the Government has ordered that places are worship be closed until further notice. This means that the act of prayer should now be done in your own homes, to help our NHS and to keep you safe.
We will find solace in prayers at home. Please play your part in it, as the effort of daily kindness and support is needed by those in need.
Please pray all the people in the countries, who have been affected very badly by this crisis, particularly Italy and Spain who have seen many deaths this past week.
Pray for all key workers who are doing their best to keep normality in this country during uncertain times. But pray especially for our NHS workers too.
On Thursday 26th March at 8pm people will be encouraged to clap from their windows, balconies, front gardens, as a sign of appreciation for everything all NHS front line staff doing in the fight against this disease. Please spread the word on your road.
Also, it is very important that we care for each other. There are so many ways in which we can do this: checking our neighbours, especially the elderly and vulnerable; volunteering for charitable initiatives and organisations; simply keeping in touch by all the means open to us.
If we are delivering shopping for elderly or vulnerable people it is better to use gloves and leave it outside the door, obviously alert that person to say you have delivered them some shopping.
However, it is also very important we keep ourselves and others safe, avoiding unnecessary travel ( unless helping a vulnerable person), staying at home so not to put others at risk.
By thinking of others, we put less strain on our NHS and stop further spread of this awful disease.
