ANNUAL CALENDAR

PMoll has been working on this and has input all the information he has received so far. He asks for any remaining information to be sent to him by the end of August. The possibility of an interactive calendar going on the parish website was mentioned.

MUSIC AT HOLYDAY MASSES

MJ would like to have music at these masses and would welcome any volunteers.

PAX CHRISTI SEMINAR

VL gave a brief (but very favourable) report of the "Bridges not Walls" talk about the Israel/Palestine conflict. She suggested that we further our links with other religions by inviting guest speakers into our parish to build bridges with us.

FIRST FRIDAY ALL NIGHT VIGILS

There was discussion about the organization of the vigils in light of the fact that Emma & Alex van Spijk, who currently organize the rota, will soon be moving out of the area. Emma & Alex's contribution to this liturgy has been much appreciated. IM suggested that the Spirituality Group should discuss the vigil rota at the next opportunity.

PARISH PASTORAL PLAN

IM reminded us that Bishop Malcolm, in his pastoral letter of 1st Sunday of Advent, asked that parishes produce a "Parish Pastoral Plan". The diocesan follow through team are also developing a "Diocesan Pastoral Plan".

IM went on to give the PPC a powerpoint presentation that was first given at an open parish meeting a week ago. IM will e mail the full powerpoint presentation to PPC members via MR but the three main elements of the presentation were :

    1. To carry out an audit of the current position
    2. This will be achieved using SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) papers colour co-ordinated for the 3 churches in the parish. The SWOT papers will be distributed at masses over the course of the next few weeks. A PPC member will introduce and explain the purpose of the SWOT papers at each of this weekend's masses. Action VL @ Saturday mass Action PMoll & SG @ Sunday masses

In addition an article will be placed in the parish newsletter about the SWOT papers Action SG

Once collected back in, the papers will be analysed by the Parish Core Group and in due course parishioners will be given feedback.

    3. Produce a Parish Pastoral Plan
    4. Develop Action Plans

An Action Plan for each issue will be written. The Action Plans must be -
