MR will place a further note in the newsletter about the availability of this and will remind the greeters to offer it. Action MR
Nothing to reort.
Efforts continue to find a suitable candidate to work in the parish on a part time basis. Adverts are to be placed in our parish newsletter and that of the Cathedral.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CARD
Thanks again for all the help in packing up the Christmas cards before this meeting. Many hands did indeed make light work !! Volunteers to co-ordinate card distribution to parishioners are :
6 & 7 December 6.30pm MR 9am MJ 10.30am MC
13 & 14 December 6.30pm ATH 9am JM 10.30am KG
Please invite others to help you set up and distribute the packs of cards both before and after the Masses. ATH offered to distribute cards to some older West Bridgford residents. PW volunteered to deliver packs of cards that are left over.

a) MC informed the group that there is to be a CAFOD Ecumenical Advent Service at The Holy Spirit Church on the evening of Friday 12 December 2008. The Bishop will be present. MC will enquire if the start time can be switched from 7pm to 7.30pm. Action MC
b) JM informed the group that
1. The West Bridgford Methodist Church is hosting a "Food Hygiene Certificate Course"
on 20 & 27 November 7.30pm to 10pm. The cost of the course is £30.
2. St Luke’s Church is hosting a youth event on the Croquet Lawn on Central Avenue on Friday 28 Nov from 7.30pm to 10pm. JM will try to find out more about the event.
c) GT informed the group that on the Solemnity of Christ the King ("Youth Sunday" 23 Nov 2008) St Edmund Campion school have been invited to do the music at the 9am Mass. Seamus Garvey (6.30pm Mass) and John O’Brien & Elizabeth Lee (10.30am Mass) will encourage adults and children to come together for the music at their Masses.
d) JH asked for volunteers to act as vergers, greeters etc. at the Christmas Masses, which will be at 4.30pm, 6.30pm and midnight on Christmas Eve and 9am & 10.30am on Christmas morning. Please let MR know if you can help out.
