OUR HOPES

Achieve the goals laid out in our Parish Pastoral Plans
Develop more awareness of each other
Strengthen the social, liturgical and spiritual bonds between the two parishes
Build on the strong sense of community and family at Cotgrave
Build up the volume of Traidcraft sales at West Bridgford
Engage the services of a youth worker to work in both communities
Develop outreach in the community
Develop vibrant communities

OUR FEARS

Apathy amongst teenagers and in the wider parish community
West Bridgford parish overwhelming Cotgrave parish
Ecumenism not being taken seriously
Inadequate skills base in our Parish Pastoral Councils
Enforced change & overworking of things that don’t need changing
Consequences of losing our Assistant Priest sometime in the future

OUR EXPECTATIONS

Autonomous and effective parishes
Improved communication to strengthen the bonds between West Bridgford and Cotgrave
Parishes to take more ownership of their Parish Pastoral Plans
Parish Pastoral Councils to show greater leadership
Learn from each other’s successes
Continue to grow and get more parishioners involved
Combine forces for events such as parish fairs and special fundraising events
Quarterly joint meetings of the two Parish Pastoral Councils
