MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 2007 MEETING

1. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE FEBRUARY 2007 MINUTES
A) Parish library
Volunteers agreed to meet and discuss options for arranging the library layout and shelving. vThey will report back to the next meeting. Action VL MD CH
B) Hymn boards
Cathy is continuing to look for suitable Hymn boards for the church Action CC
C) Disabled toilet markings
Now in place Action LB
D) Plan of church & associated facilities
To be carried over to next meeting Action MG
E) Ecumenical Easter Cards
All cards to be packaged and labelled after tonight’s meeting then passed on to the relevant Parishes in West Bridgford. Cards for the Holy Spirit parish will be divided by street names and parishioners will be encouraged to deliver them before Easter. Action PPC
2. REVIEW OF PARISH PASTORAL PLAN
Various aspects of the "Evangelisation and Mission section of the PPP were discussed & reviewed:
What are we doing now?
Bringing issues to the attention of parishioners.
Thought provoking sermons from the clergy.
Theresa Brennan is the contact person for information about the Assisted Suicide Bill.
It was decided to continue to review this section of the PPP at the next PPC meeting. Action VL
5. BOOKING THE SOCIAL CENTRE
Chris Farmer is standing down at the end of April; therefore a volunteer is needed to take over the post of Social Centre Booking Secretary. Action CH
7. FEEDBACK FROM NEWSLETTER PPC COLUMN Action LB
MC has requested display boards for the Church entrance, similar to the ones used at Our Lady of Grace, as she was impressed by the way their information is displayed.
We have display boards that were donated by a parishioner and may be suitable for this purpose. Action CH
A request was received for the parish to help fund the forthcoming altar servers’ day out. The PPC decided to recommend to GT that the parish supplements the money raised by the St George’s night event. Action PPC
