Follow up meetings after Crich to encourage vision formed whilst at the Briars. *
More youth Masses, possibly just for young people, making Mass a bigger occasion
Target the age at which the youth ‘lose interest’ in Mass etc. and find out what could be done to encourage & involve.

Involvement – more with the parish and how it works.
Not just outreach & Briars but other people encouraging the young people.
Ways of involving children to keep the interest in Mass etc.
Inspiration from the Baptist denomination, ask why they are so popular with the youth.

Sub-groups within each parish – SVP, UCM etc.**
Mass – readings/music/euch. Ministers**
Social level – have a meal together, hospitality group.*

How do we attract people on the ‘margins’. Is our ‘church’ and what it offers attractive ?
Others in the community who do not currently practice as part of the community.*

House groups, church groups, others – esp. rosary/Taize ***

Suggest start by having period for silent prayer in the Mass **

Help people to develop their own spiritual direction *

Basic motivation is the belief that prayers must underpin all that we do in the parish. **

Parish Council : - needs to be more structured ?

- part of planning of Diocese *

- structure will depend on goals *

- links between groups that we all represent and the church *

- links between groups represented (i.e. schools & ecumenism)

How do we relate to our neighbours ?

- we should not be in competition with each other.

- Guard against competition between three sites.

What happens when there is only priest for the entire new parish ?

- will there have to be one church ?

- in ten years time there will be ½ the number of priests there are now.
