MINUTES OF MARCH 2010

Approved but correct the date of the proposed Corpus Christi procession in “Matters Arising”

MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MARCH MINUTES

a)     Cafod Lent Boxes – have yielded £326.61 from the parish so far.

b)     Corpus Christi procession – KG has cleared the procession with the Police and County Council – but now that 10.30am Mass will be in The Holy Spirit Church, GT would prefer he procession to be after that Mass on Sunday 6 June.  KG will notify the authorities of the change.           Action KG

c)     National Family Week Picnic/BBQ – after discussion it was decided not to go ahead with either of these at this time – and to think about a parish picnic on another occasion.  Light refreshments will be provided after the C.C. procession – check with rota.      Action MR

d)     Greening West Bridgford Community Launch Week – MC reported this to be a very successful event at The Becket School (on Sat 20 March).  She made a contact who may be able to help extend Cafod’s recycling scheme for old mobile phones and print cartridges. (Cafod receives a small monetary return).

WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE FATHER’S DAY OUT

No interest expressed in organising anything within the parish for this event, which will take place on Sunday 20 June 2010.

PARKING

GT has received a serious complaint about inconsiderate parking by parishioners on Melton Road.  Various suggestions were made about steps that may be taken to prevent this in the future and these will be relayed to GT.        Action MR

The meeting closed with a prayer.
