Information Weekend –Review – MC contacted 40+ people most of whom took part in showing the Parishioners which groups exist within the Parish, what they do and how anyone can be involved. Encouraging new members was an aim as well as the social aspect of the event.

It was felt to be worthwhile for all, being well supported all the groups and by the Parishioners.

Photographs were shown and hopefully will soon be on the HS church website

As a result MC is reviewing the Welcome Ministry for greeting at the church door. “Welcome to Church” is important both from parishioners on the door and the clergy from the altar. Fellowship is made and building of the community starts here, to be carried on through the groups for those who want more.

Also a box of books for children to use at Mass is to be available. Donations are to be gained by an appeal through the Newsletter at church and also at St Edmund Campion School.            Action MC

A vote of thanks was given to MC for organising this successful event.

It was considered having a similar fair as this next year with the PPC AGM included on Sunday in the upstairs room during the event.

Parish AGM - Sunday 4th October 7pm, Brian Carroll will present the Parish finances.    Action JH & MR

PPC Renewal - New members are needed to replace JH, MG and PW whose 3yr term is up.

Angela Knott will represent the Mother and Toddler group.

Feedback and involvement from the parish is important to the PPC so new members are needed to fill the vacancies.                                                                                                                   Action JH & GT

Parish Pastoral Plan to be addressed later.

Over the summer GT left the main church doors open, as well as the side door, to show the church is always open. He put the CTS pamphlets nearby. GT came into church to check regularly and saw no one yet someone had come in as the booklets disappeared. He is now looking at the security of the church.

As a result of a previous discussion on “The Aims of the PPP” 3 new additional signs have been made for the HS Church sign on Melton Road side.

“We are open, come in and pray”

“Merry Christmas”

“This is Holy Week”
